Gauge cluster light are all plug-in. Go to the http://www.ledautomotive.com site and there is a nice DIY there for the gauges.

I was thinking of buying the LED ( just the LED alone ) home and solder myself. not like they already made it for you.

depends on what type of leds they are... and the higher mcd... for example.. an led that exhibits 8000 mcd is waay brighter than that of 4000...

Dudes.. if you want CHEAP BRIGHT leds... with CHEAP shipping, for example less than 10 bucks.. search for your LEDs OVERSEAS... definitely some good buys there.

ledautomotive.com sends all bulbs with resistors so you always need a resistor to go with your led's when installing otherwise you run the risk of burning out the led bulb. resistors are cheap but led bulbs are more expensive for those who want to buy all the parts themselves go to radio shack but i installed all my bulbs from ledautomotive.com and so far it works like a charm.

the tectoyz.com and ledautomotive.com lights are all bright and vary worth the price. highly recomended. i have the blue ones and it is brighter than stock. i think including shipping it was like 35 bucks for all the interior lights. and they dont burn out.

35 bucks sounds bout right for the climate control and clock kit which is 9 bulbs. It takes time but it is much better than the pale green in the end. if you want to go all out blue, i also bought my reverse glow gauges of ebay for $15 including shipping and they glow bright blue at night.

i agree. i installed the 9 leds and it really not that bright or at least i thought it would be brighter. the light isn't quite white either perhaps because it is not bright per say.

So does the dimmer switch work with LEDs or are you stuck with one brightness level?

i know everyone says ledautomotive.com....... but I have heard there stuff isn’t that bright... Someone on here did a full custom LED speedometer, air controls, and shifter. It was soooo nice... VERY BRIGHT and good quality. He bought all the LEDs and resistors and did it all himself. If your a somewhat good do-it-yourselfer then you can try. it ask him... (ill put up his name when i see it or find it). You can use the ledautomotive.com for the DIY for takin apart the dash and stuff. I think I too am going to try this sometime, if i get around to that ill make a good DIY for everyone. Good luck with whatever you go with.
