Question question on empty switchplates

I know the large space to the right of the cruise/TCS buttons is for a fog light switch, but what goes/went in the spot next to the instrument cluster dimmer? Just curious.

I believe it is for the auto folding mirrors found on the JDM models.

OK, I'm going to take a stab at the auto folding mirrors explanation now that I know what switch should go there. Might be wrong, but if so, eh.

Since parking space is at such a premium in Japan, to save space there are parking garages that actually mechanically place your car into an extremely small spot that no human would be able to park in and still get the door open to get out, and the auto folding mirrors are there just to prevent them from being damaged or damaging another car. Just flip the switch.

Reminds me of that one simpsons episode where Bart repainted all the lines in the school's parking lot.
