Question about towing with a TL Type S

I have an Acura TL Type S .. and I've been searching through the forums and saw some of you guys tow jet skis, motorcycles, even some ski boats.

I wanted to know your opinoins on towing a 2600 pound car (200 pound trailer)

It would be all highway driving. I know there are concerns about breaks and tranny, but I saw a few of you have had no problems at all ?

I thought the limit is 1000 lbs? If I were you, I wouldn't do it.

The good thing with towing the car on a dolly is that there will be almost Zero tongue weight. Depending on how far your going to travel and where you rent it would be the big deciding factors. Many places wont let you rent the dolly to tow nay thing unless you have a more than capable vehicle to tow it with. (u haul wouldnt let me use my V6 extended cab S10 to dolly a prelude, said it wasnt capable even though chevy had something like a 5-6k capacity for it)

also if the trip were short or long. I wouldnt be concerned about a short trip, but if it were like 1-200+ miles then id say find a better vehicle

Damn, nice towing toys!! I am scared to tow anything with my car. Already on my 2nd tranny...I baby the heck out of my car's tranny for fear of getting a 3rd tranny..sigh. At least your car is holding up well!!
