Question Question about Tint and Oil

Hi, I really like the gold tint found on Lexus RX300. I want to get mine 01 TL tinted jusk like that. However, I wonder, will the tint at back window damage the defroster wire and the radio attena? Will the heat from the defroster wire damage the tint?

Also, just got the first oil change for the TL, it was free per dealer ( consider they charge 250 for dealer fee while I bought it). They use the castrol 10w30. I was wondering will the synthetic do a better job or it is not essential at all?

Any input is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

i think any kind of synthetic oil will help a little.
i have had tint on one of my cars and the heat from the defroster lines never affected the tint.

You don't say where you live but 10W-30 can be kinda heavy for our engines in colder weather. 5W-30 is recommended and of course 5W-20 is recommended now for the '02s. If you live in an area where the average daily temperature is below freezing for much of the winter, you may want to have them switch out to 5W-30.
