Question about spark plugs for the TL

I was going to replace the spark plugs for my 03 TL-S but my brother ordered me the ones for the TL-P. I was wondering if there is a difference as I can not tell from NGK's site.

TL-S = PZFR6E-11
TL-P = PZFR5F-11

Probably not interchangeable huh?

These spark plugs are for different heat ranges. You want to use a hotter plug when you have more power.

I was building a motor a short time ago and did a ton of research just on which spark plug to use and they recommend going up one heat range for every 100 hp you go up from stock. Even thought our type S does not have 100 more hp then the P I am sure Honda/Acura knows what they are doing. I would definitly stick with the type S plugs!

Type S requires a different heat range- its very specific- hi-compression makes a diiferance- you have 11 to 1!!!
NGK Iridium is the way to go- Iridium is the higher tech metal with many advantages including lower price!!

Seafoam the intake manifold vac method and gas tank.. a week before changing the plugs- give the new plugs a nice clean system to operate in

Heat range is just a measure of the plug's ability to conduct heat from the combustion chamber- a hotter plug doesn't correlate to more horsepower.
Just looked up heat range info- a higher # (at least w/ NGK) indicates a COLDER plug.

the higher your compression ratio is your gonna wanna get a colder plug. when i run nitrous i change out my plug for zex colder spark plugs. better heat transfer from the cylinder to the block.

you don't want to use the wrong sparklugs man o.o. They are all designed with different measurements to bet fit your engine. You will get misfire if you have the wrong plug, which lead to CEL showing.
