question about led gauges
i recently just put in some green leds in my dash and on the gauges some of the parts dont light up as bright as others, such as the top of the speedometer(like 60-100mph) isnt nearly as bright as the lower parts of the speedometer(0-60 and 100-160), and then the temperature/door opening thing isnt as bright as the miles. i also changed the bulb for the tiptronic number that shows in the dash and it doesnt light up green. is there like a filter or something that is making this light up yellowish?

for the gauges, when you take it apart, look at the clear plastic thingee around where the bulb will sit. it acts as a "light tube" that disperses the light to the gauges. you want to point your LED (assuming you didn't shave the LED head and its a standard domed LED - not inverted or anything) towards that light tube so it'll spread the light evenly. its a common problem of LEDs getting hotspots in gauges so you just try to align it by trial and error.
