Our car's HID were never met to have a blue hue. They are 4300k bulbs, only time they were slightly blue is when you just turn them on. The blue hue is produced by either 6000k bulbs or a projector system. Which our car doesn't have. So I don't know what you wanted.....

What you need is to get 6000k bulbs for your car.

6000k bulbs are not DOT and SAE approved but you can still put them on because they really don't care.

Since one is orange, you should have the dealer check it out if you are still under warranty. Usually that is a sign of a failing bulb.

As far as the stock HID goes, it will look blue only when you first turn it on. Then after a few seconds it will turn white. But if you want that bluish look to last then get a pair of 6000K's.

4300k bulbs are great! I like the first few seconds of blue, but there is nothing like the bright white of 4300k bulbs!

IMHO, of course.

In the days of old a headlight that was orange and the other was full strength meant either a bad ground or the voltage regulator was going south.

Kingston Honda have tested everything from the bulb to the wiring in the car's headlight and they still could not find anything wrong. Any other suggestions?

I don't want to live with organge head light.

mmm... I love my 4300K lights... I think they're great, although they are definately getting old, I'm thinking of upgrading to 6000K shortly if I keep my car. who knows....

I thought about that too... but then if the thing actually fired up, and continues to fire up, then I'd say its just a faulty bulb. But that worries me about having HIDs... thats why I never want my alarm to go off cause I'm afraid my ballasts will blow up or something!

Orange Bulb

Have you tried switching the orange bulb with the good bulb? That way you will know for sure its the bulb that is bad. I had to do that with a problem I had with a Mark VIII a while back.:wow:

switch bulb = taking bumper off ...

Hey,

I don't know if there's any other way to change bulbs ... but don't you have to take the bumper off to get to your headlights & change the bulb???

I wouldn't suggest anyone doing it without having someone there with experience... there is an FAQ on how to do it but not for the timid!

Since you've got your bumper off ... you might as well take the resonator out, etc ...

- derrick

PS If you can wait until this w/e, I'll take a look at your orange bulb, Joe ...

Have either the dealer or DIY, swap the blue with the orange bulb and turn them on. If the orange color did not moved to the other side--It is "Electrical". However, if the orange color did moved to the other side, then it is your BULB and just get another one. Also, if it is the bulb you may need to get 2 new ones. Because if you only get one, there is a chance that the brand new bulb may be brighter than the other side!
