Question about the fog lights mod

Ok so i found this:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...+acura+tl+2002

it says there "You can use whatever means you wish to join wires 3 and 4 together. Just remember you *don't* want to cut them, just splice the two together."

I don't understand how can i splice them together without cutting them?
can someone tell me pls?

go to an auto parts store and get these. walmart has them as well. it's less than $5. I think they're called quick splice connector.

it's basically like twisting a wire around another wire...as long as it's making contact with the other wire (securely), you're good.

That's a lot of writing....i got a little mind fucked. So I already have the fog light mod where i can turn then on with the high beams. So if i wanted to just turn them on with the parking lights all i got to do is splice wires 3 and 4???

exactly the way it is in the pic. you dont have to cut them. that little blue clip splices into them. When you buy them they are pretty much self explanatory.

Ok. First you might have to cut a little whole on one side because the wire is ment to go in there and not come out through the other side.
what you do is put the wires in there and make sure they dont move. then used a monkey wrench or something to close the little metal piece through the wires. what that does is cut through the rubber and touches the copper wires directly which lets the electricity pass through them. make sure you close the little metal piece as tight as possible. And make sure you get the right size. since your working with 18-20 gauge wires, the clip will most likely be yellow.

This is the other fog light mod. that i did to mine. i just took a pic of is now.

Dont worry about that. its just extra wire that connects the electricity from that white wire to the black wire. its nothing to worry about. Its looping around you just cant see it in the picture.

No. You need the ones in the pic i sent. And you will probably be needing red ones. not yellow ones. You cant just tape them together because that would require you to cut them.

whats so bad about cutting the wires to tap into them? cut them up, tie the 3 parts together, then heatshrink the fuckers back together so the connection stays put.

i did my fog light mod without any of those quick splice thingamajiggers.

Well only if you dont feel like cutting any wires this is the best way. Idk. i like splicing rather then cutting. of course they are both easy. but its pretty smooth.

yeah splicing is probably the best way but i just dont have the patience lol.

i believe i have the fog light mod without the high beam mod. i dont see the point of having the fogs on and highs on at the same time. but i guess i dont use my highs that often so i dont really know the benefits.

Ooooh ok ok. So for this one you only need to connect 2 wires to each other? or is there more to it?
