Question about D5 light and acceleration

Need some help on this people,

I read that a D5 blinking light means that there could be a tranny problem. Just wanted to know if the blinking means that the D5 light gets dimmer then back to normal brightness? is that considered to be the blinking?

Reason why I ask is that I have my tranny replaces a couple of months ago and only put about 1000 miles on it until a few days ago now its been 1600 miles since the tranny was replaced. I had to go away on business and drove about 200 miles each day for 3 days and on the way back home on the 3rd day I noticed that the D5 light was getting dimmer and brighter when I accelerated. Also noticed that it seemsed like my car was having a little trouble accelerating and when I would come to a stop in traffic the RPM's would jump up from like 1500 to 2500-2700 but I guess that was the gears switching? which should be normal right? After a few times I gave the car some gas and it felt like the car was in 3rd or 4th gear from take off, wasnt that much acceleration at that point. Which felt real werid to me.

I called up acura and they said to bring it in so someone can test drive it with me in the car to see the problem. When I was on my way there today I couldnt get the problem to occur with the acceleration. Just to D5 light was somewhat getting dimmer and brighter. So I didnt bring it in, didnt want to waste my time or theres.
Is this normal for the D5 light to get dimmer then go back to normal?

Has this happened to anyone else before?
Thanks in advance for any help people

Immedialty back to the dealer
The head tech will likely take a quick ride with you, or based on the symptoms you describe-just take it for the day, check for loose ground wires and test the ECU, pull the codes etc.
It didnt do these things BEFORE they replaced the trans right?

Its a fact that the occassional bad unit or 10 leave the assembly plant, and they get about 1000 miles or so and quit. Thats just life and why the trans has its own warranty.
The dealer will take care of you, and with it being a recent warranty and you still have to do a customer satisfaction survey---- loaner car no prob.
Mondays are bad- shop meeting in morning creates backup of cars, everyone with an oil change wants a loaner--- call the SERVICE MANAGER and ask when to come in

If the D5 light blinks- you will know it- it catches your eye as something the dash does not do normally!!! Will happen on full throttle from low speed onto freeway usually

Thanks for the input guys. I Drove today it was a 120 mile trip roundway so I got to see if the problem would start up again. I noticed that it happens when I am going 20mph or so and let go of the gas thats when I feel the jolt, and the rpm revs up to like 2300-2500. Nothing serious but I never noticed it before so at least I now know how to show the problem with the car.

btw it was kinda doing this before the tranny was replaced but it didnt do it afterwards when I drove it. started up at the long drives I had.
