Hi guys, I just picked up my 99' TL about a month ago and I'm loving this car. I currently have the stock head unit in there with the 6 disk changer in the trunk. My buddy has an 03' CL-S and he upgraded his stock 6-disk in dash and he's going to look for it for me. Can I buy his head unit from him and pop it in? Is it a direct swap, or do I need a new harness or something?? Thanks a lot peeps! Oh yeah, I already searched and couldn't find anything, and don't be sayin' "the stock system sucks, swap it out for a $1000 new system" I listen to punk rock so the stock system is fine for me, plus I don't want to screw up the lines of the purty dash...thanks!!

 

i have done this, but it wasnt plug an play. I had to get a seperate amp and have everything wired to make it work. |Dont waste your time it wont just plug and play. You would be better off getting an 02 TL head unit or an aftermarket head unit.
