Personal opinion if you dont do the hood and trunk as well it doesnt look complete.

Agreed. Although it does look right on some cars.

I wanted to do this like they have on newer lexus es and nissan maximas.

Can someone do a photoshop with just the roof, no hood/trunk? If it looks bad I won't bother with it
