to my knowledge...they lessen the stress that all of the electonics of your car put on your engine by lightening the alternator load....thus you accelerate faster.

Pulleys are like gears that turn the belts in your car such as a/c compressor, power steering, crank..etc. If you add a aftermarket performance pulley it will turn slower then the stock one which results in more horsepower. Althought some people do experience their a/c not cooling when they are parked at a light due to its lower revolutions. Its a good mod for the price.

Not to m-, not if my A/C doesn't cool the car properly. I guess us TL drivers never get stuck in traffic so that doesn't matter anyway At least we'll still have 4 windows that roll ALL the way down

Eh? I thought aftermarket pulleys are exactly the same size as the OEM's, but are much lighter (i.e. they have smaller moments of inertia), thus allowing them (and thus your crankshaft) to spin up and down more quickly. More power gets transferred to your driving wheels, etc.

Had pulleys for 2 weeks now. No problem with AC or lights. They are lighter specially the alternator pulley and a little bigger too.

The pulleys have a larger O.D. and therefore "underdrive" the accessories. This results in less parasitic drag on the engine and frees up some horsepower that would otherwise be lost powering these items with the stock pulleys. I don't know if they make a complete set, but the A/C compressor, alternator and power steering pump are all driven by belts (and therefore pulleys).

If they're lighter than the stock pieces then I guess that'd help out a little bit as well.

i think the aem pulleys only come with two pulleys and two belts, one pulley replaces the steering and the other pulley replaces the alternator, there are more pulleys that can be replaced in the engine but aem suggested that if other pulleys would be replaced it would damage the pulleys, the engine rod bearings, and other overtime use where things will break down, aem decided to just use those 2 pulleys, where it became a benefit to performance not a harm to the engine.
