Proud new owner
I've been lurking for about a week, reading up on just about everything. I also became the proud owner of an '03 TL-S w/Navi in Anthracite Metallic on 8/29/02. My first NEW car, and she's a real beauty. I'm not a racer type (don't try manual, and previously owned a '97 Ford Escort), but I wanted to get something that had the power without being "impractical" especially for my wife. We paid 31,650, not including tax/licensing, here in the San Diego area, which also included the protection package. In my own research, I think we got a pretty decent deal. The car only had 7 miles on it, and they tell us that no one test drove the car (which I believe, but wish that whoever took it didn't drive it for so much, but oh well!).
I'll continue to pour through all the threads to find information that I'm interested in, but just wanted to say a nice "Hello!" to everyone here. You guys have a good community, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Congrats! Which dealer did you go to? I'm going to be moving back down to San Diego in a few weeks, would like to find a decent place to take the car to for warrenty work if needed...
I picked up my WDP 'S/Navi just a few weeks ago--Wonderful so far!

Daimler, I went to Hoehn Acura in Carlsbad. I felt good about the purchase on a few levels. First, I approached Cush Acura Kearny Mesa Road and also FAXed a request for a price quote to a dealer as far as Temecula. Temecula didn't do me the courtesy of a FAX back (I did state a reply deadline), and Cush wanted more than I was willing to pay. I went to Cush and test drove the car, and did some haggling but they still wouldn't come down to a good range. I had a friend who was buying a Honda Pilot and he gave me the name of the salesperson at Hoehn Honda. We agreed to a price over the phone, with a written agreement FAXed to me, and the rest is history. If the experience I had in buying the car is anything like the rest of the operation at Hoehn, then my money is on Hoehn. They were EXTREMELY professional in every way. If you need a name, just let me know and I can tell who I used at Hoehn.
Avoid Cush -- you get the song and dance when you try to haggle. We're informed buyers, especially those of us who frequent bulletin boards. I knew what they were pocketing and I knew what things cost. I pretty much walked out when the salesperson said (and I quote), "You're splitting hairs over $150? C'mon, you're talking about a luxury car!" I'm sorry -- it's MY money, so we were outta there.

Congrats and Enjoy. 5 months into my 03 ABP TLS and I am still loving it. Only prob is that I want to mod it but I don't have the funds (just got engaged, need to save for the wedding, need to buy a house or condo)!
