Proper torque for spark plugs

real qick qestion since search came up with different awsners. whats the proper tourqe for spark plugs. and if you could tell me in inch pounds because the tq wrench i got is in inch lbs. thx

use the guess method as described on the box- which is finger tight then 1/3 turn as I recall
the foot lbs is 13- you can search for conversion and type that in for inch lbs

a little plug anti-sieze helps a lot and a short piece of tubing fit over the plug cap helps lower it in the hole and start the threads safely

The torque specs are also in your owners manual.

you know thats the last place i looked
i put in NGK iridium IX.. absoulutly the smoothest ride eva compare to my shitty old ones.

At least he didnt have glow plugs in there....... prolly woulda had the same affect. lol

you mean those arent the stock plugs? i take it fthey are shit, cause they sure felt like it. well whenever and whoever changed them made a poor choice, the iridiums roxorz so smooth and steady like butter on my toast oh and you guys were right, the back ones where a bitch.

yea, i just put my NGK iridiums in and had problems with the back one too. kept burning my damn arm on the top of the engine
