Proper care for the paint
Proper care for the paint
After owning several nice cars and keeping them detailed with every inch of energy i have, do you guys know of any waxes or polishes that work better or worse than others? I am a big fan of Zymol (not the one you buy at KMART), and have used meguiers, but would appreciate some opinions...

I use Pinnale products. It is great. People on this board also use Zaino, too. For me it justs requires too much time. Especially, when you have a 2 year old always tries to help you to wash your car. You want to get it done ASAP and had good result.

Agree Zaino does take a little more time, but it's all about the preparation. I highly recommend the steps outlined at http://zainobros.com
Even if you decide not to use Zaino, the steps are good.
Definitely clay the car first. It does wonders for the paint and sets up a great base for whatever products you use.

I agree with TGIF, EXCEPT for his spelling
I think he meant pinnacle products. You'll get a resounding ZAINO in this forum, but there are also a few threads on what a pain it is to apply. Pinnacle is so freakin easy, you can wax the whole car in 1/2 hour. Looks great, follow subsequent washes with their Crystal Myst detailing spray, helps preserve the wax, very good results.
