NOT AGAIN!!!!
Did anyone else receive a notice about a "potential problem" with 02-03 TL, 02-03 CL, or 02 MDX?

I am the second owner of a 03 TL-S and I did not receive the letter. Thanks to this forum, I became aware of the recall and I have an appointment for Friday to get the tensioner replaced. When I made the appointment, I asked if it was safe to take a 1200 mile trip before getting the tensioner replaced. The advisor said it would not be a problem and it wasn't

yeah there is a recall...2002 tl vin 19uua5...2a051141 thru vin 19uua5...2a061706, 2003 tl vin 19uua5...3a000001 thru vin 19uua5...3a043888, 2003cl vin 19uya4...3a000001 thru vin 19uya4...3a009883, 2002 mdx vin 2hnyd1...2h505108 thru vin 2hnyd1...2h545156....the auto tensioner for the timing belt can develop a leak and if it loses enough oil you can get some engine noise due to loseness in the timing belt... havent heard of any problems ocurring due to this...HTH
