hey guys, i tried takin off my front bumper in order to install my CAI this morning. i took out 3 clips from under the hood, 5 from under the bumper, and 3 screws from each side, and it wouldnt come off. i was able to install the CAI w/o takin off the bumper anywayz, but i jus wanted to kno wut i did wrong cuz i wanna mesh my fog holes too. i dont think i missed any screws or clips... the sides of the bumper came loose, but it still seem very attached in the center...any suggestions?

 

There is a screw in the bottom center too.

 

you have to give it a pretty good tug to get the front end off...even with all the bolts removed it still requires some good effort to remove the bumper..

 

thanks ill try it out again. the center screw wasnt mentioned in the FAQ, but ill try to find it..and i was pullin on it pretty hard (didnt wanna break the damn thing hehe)

 

Um...there are more than three clips under the hood...

 

If you already removed all the bolts and the clips....there are "Latches" on the bumper. The latch is just a rectangle hole that will be inserted into a piece of metal "slot" that will hold the latch on the plastic bumper to the metal bumper behind it. BE CAREFULL not to pull on the bumper too hard....you might crack the latches and your bumper MIGHT NOT align up straight as before....i HAVE this problem each time i take off my bumper. There are four latches.... one on each side and one on either side of the front grill.

 

from wut i remember, there are 4 clips on the bottom, one screw on either side (the wheel area), 2 clips holding the grille, and lots of clips holding the top (way more than 3) u need to take that black plastic cover off...
