Problems starting

Whenever I stop the car and turn it off on an incline I have a problem restarting. When the front end is higher than the rear it creates problems. Acura 99TL, 230K+ miles.

The car is cranking but seems to not be sending any fuel. Another thing is I cannot remove the car from Park. I have the key in (on position) press the brake pedal and try to move the shifter out of Park. If I can get the car out of park I can usually start from Neutral.

I have also on a few occasions pulled the cap next to the shifter and shifted the car into neutral to move the car when this happens.

I replaced the Ignition Switch yesterday, car was stalling while driving, and thought this would solve my restart problem also, but it didn't.

I had a rebuilt transmission put in about a year ago, its working fine but wondering what may be causing the starting problems.

When it doesnt start do you notice the green key light in the inst cluster flashing or anything?

When you cant remove it from park, double check that your brake lights are working when you press on the brake. You may have a bad brake pedal position switch.
