problems starting
I've noticed that it takes like 5 seconds to actually start up the car. It is just taking longer than normal to crank over. I was thinking about buying some transmission cleaner or injector cleaner (the ones that you can put in the gas tank). Will this help, also what namebrands should i look for. Thanks

How odd. I might understand the injectors getting dirty on an older car, but you have a 2001? How many miles you got on that?
Maybe it's worth getting checked out by the dealer. It could be nearly anything causing that, e.g.: fuel pump, fuel injectors, starter, ignition system, spark plugs, intake, ECU, sensors, etc. If nothing else, the dealer could plug into the car's diagnostic port and see if anything fishy is coming up.

When I met up with "NBPTL" from the site, He started his car ad I said the same thing, it winds too long before it starts...doesn't start the same way as mine, I think he said the dealer said it was normal..I dunno... Doesn't seem normal to me..

I've noticed now that I have 3000 miles on my TLS that it's taking a little longer to start. And every now and then the engine starts with a little "thunk", but then continues normally. No puffs of smoke or Check Engine light, so I know it's not a misfire.
Sometimes I think I'm holding the key down too long in the Start position, and the sound may be the starter solenoid disengaging. Tonight I tried letting the key go a half second or so before the engine actually "takes", and it started up just fine without the "thunk". I wonder...
