Has anybody experienced any problems with their security light (on the left door panel) working intermittently? Every now and then, when I arm the alarm, the light does not go on. However, when I go back to the car, the light is on (sometimes). Also, there have been times when I will arm the car and the light goes on, but when I come back to the car, the light is off. Two different dealers have looked at this, but of course, it never acts up at the dealer. I hope this does not mean that the alarm is not functioning when the light is out.

 

Nope, I've never experienced that problem. Looks like you are the only one with this so far. Good luck.

have u read the manual? once u engage it , it takes like few seconds..then it all the sudden blinks at a different rate...

maybe it mite be that? otherwise i have never had this problem...

 

Yup.....it takes like 20 secs for alarm to engage.

 

ive had the exact same problem. the alarm activates 20 seconds after you lock it, but the light should stick blink right after you lock the doors

i ended up taking off the door panel and making sure that the metal pins for the led were making good contact. havnt had a problem since

 

Well, mine has been hit or miss. When this worked right, the light always came on as soon as I armed it. Now, sometimes it comes on and sometimes it doesn't. When I come back to the car, sometimes the light is on and sometimes not. So, I sat in the car and armed it. The manual says if the trunk is then opened from inside the car using the switch on the door, the alarm will go off. It DIDN'T. I closed the trunk, got back in the car and armed it. I opened the door from inside and NO ALARM. But, when I put the key in the ignition and tried to start it, the alarm went off. Naturally, when you take it to the dealer the light always comes on. I finally called Acura Customer Service and I am waiting for somebody to respond.
