problems with door lock...need help!!
i have a 99 tl and the lock on the passenger door does not lock anymore when you push down on the automatic lock/unlock switch. it still works when done manually. last night i took out the door panel and tried to take a look around but it's so tight in there, can't really tell. don't want to take it to the dealer cuz that will cost me a grip. anyone here with some advice. thanks in advance.

no, no noise at all. i'm pretty sure the automatic lock/unlock switch is still good, just the actual lock itself is no good. i heard something about an actuator going bad. could this be my problem. if so, where is it and how to replace? thanks.

I had this problem with 3/4 my door locks. This happened under warrenty and I got them replaced.
Now I just have the one door lock on the rear drivers side lock that ain't working. But since only the front seats are used most often. I won't bother getting it fixed.

I also have a problem with my 2000 TL door locks. The locks occassionally go on and off for several minutes when the cars is parked in the garage. Other time I open the door with the drivers side control and they all doors lock when a passenger opens a door. I've been to the dealer five time....two new actuators, a new r/s multiplex and a "we couldn't duplicate the problem". It just started again. Too bad the lemon laws don't apply. I've called Acura. Anybody with similar problems?

This happened to me on my first Accord. Open up the door panel, near the door handle. I don't know the technical name of the part, but its a latch that just pops back in to place. It should be a simple fix and you are back in business.
