Problems after Gauge Install

So I've installed my gauges, and had to reposition them because they weren't lining up with certain lights perfectly. Everytime I've removed my gauges, the SRS light goes up. Wondering if there really is a problem with the SRS light, or is it just cause I removed the gauges. I keep going to my mechanic and saying to turn it off because he said it might be a problem with electronics on the passenger seat, or my backpack, so I'm not sure if there really is a problem with the SRS.

Also, my climate control is kinda messed up. The mode button, and both defroster buttons aren't lighting up. They work fine, but just don't light up. More of the buttons and the clock didn't function, but I unplugged them and plugged them back in. Not sure if the lights are blown out, or if it is a wiring problem or something.

Any input on how to fix these problems is greatly appreciated

Reset the SRS light yourself. If it comes back on you have a problem, bring it in to be diagnosed. The problem with the lights, is just that. They are very tempermental and just need to be replaced

Yes they are the same. It will work alot easier if you use 2 wires that you can just touch together instead of trying to insert it pull it out and reinsert it.
