problem with tires squealing

when i accelerate around turns, my tires squeal like crazy. although it sounds like something normal, it seems that it happens way too easily, which decreases the control i have when i drive on curvy roads. my first thought was there was that the tires were worn out, but they all look completely fine. is there anything else i can look for or do to help this problem?

Have your alignment checked and check your tire pressure.

How fast do you accelerate around turns ? You probably need some real sticky high performance summer tires to rid the squealing noise.

Try RE-01R, it doesn't squeal a tiny bit even when I take corners at frightening speeds.

What kind of tires? When was the last alignment preformed? And most importantly what is the air pressure in the tires?

If you have Michelin MXV4s, they squeal like crazy. I hated the squeal when I had them, but they do last for 60K+ (I got 80K out of one set on my Accord). I definitely noticed the MXV4s squealing in parking decks (driving at normal speeds around corners) and any time I took a turn at a remotely high speed. I never noticed any loss of control though.

i do have michelin mxv4s. i just recently bought the car used, so i dont know when the last alignment was done. when i have time i am going to check the tire pressure, but it should be ok. are the RE-01R tires expensive? i cant really afford new tires at the moment, but when i do get new tires i will consider a different kind.

if the tire pressure is ok and they are still squealing, should i have an alignment performed or would it just be because of the type of tires

There are tons of better tires than the MXV4's or MXM4's. Go to Tirerack.com and you'll find tires all sorted out in different categories.

The RE-01R's are expensive, but you get what you pay for -- maximum dry adhesion.

But there are lots of other tire choices between performance and price.

Tire pressure and alignment.

I've had a severely underinflated tire that would squeal at completely normal cornering speeds.

Alignment squealing issues usually show up at parking lot speeds on sharp corners.

I didn't read the answers you have on this post yet, but i know the problem right at hand.
Most of the time and almost for sure that your car is off alignment. Get your car realignment and you will be OK.

It was from my experience. I got that problem, I though it was the tires, so i keep drive...then later I noticed my tires are not worn evenly. I got the car alignment then all problem resolved.
