I was driving the other day and i had it on S/S mode going down hill... I tried shifting into 3rd and nothing RPM's staid near redline i changed it over to full auto and about 10 seconds after it shifted into 3rd and it works normal now.. but i was about to start to worrie cause im am out of town and i need to get back to work on sunday (tomorrow) has this happen to anyone else? thank Eddie

 

Once I had to quickly use the SS, I think with haste, I must have tapped it twice expecting 3rd but went down 2nd instead. So I hit the rev limiter and thought "Oh Sh*t!!" but upshifted and sure enough- 3rd.

This happens when a bit of adrenalin is pumping....

 

sounds like the trannie is going, sorry buddy but that's a common simptom of a trannie dying

 

that could explain why sometimes it take for ever for 3rd to kick in... i have bounced of redline because of it.. damn that means i get a loaner again and imm i dont know im going if i get a loaner! i dont know if i should be sad or happy anymore last time i had a loaner i figured out that in the TSX you can hit 80 in second gear bouncing on redline! LOL!!! lets see what else i find out and what type of car the give me..

 

just keep it out of SS mode on ur new tranny. U wanna shift gears get a CL-S w/ a 6 speed
