Thats what the mechanic at HONDA told me. Ran out completely the gas tank. Im on my way to do that. I had a bit less than half a tank and I poured 1 Seafoam can. I am planning of using the whole thing then fill half a tank once again and use the extra Seafoam can. If that doesnt work then Acura dealer it is.

Perhaps your cat is clogged ?
Really hard to understand why professional "Honda" trained technicians are giving you the runaround.
They should be able to diagnose the problem and return the car back to you in a satisfactory condition.

Talk to the service dept. manager !!! You deserve better service than what you've been receiving, IMO.

Well update on the case:

Last week I took the car back from HONDA since they told me to ran the car with anger in order to burn the bad gas. I bought 2 cans of seafoam. I used one last week and by Friday the car felt better also I went to a Mobil gas station that I never go before. If before it felt that I was running on 3 cylinders now it feels is running on 5 ... SO .. so far what HONDA has told me sounds correct so far. Today I used the second can of Seafoam Will wait and see if this week it will restore the car to full power and not running rough.

My question is will this rough riding has anything to do with the transmission being repaired. Since that was done my lever does not feel the same. Feel like hard.. shifts are done soft and feel good but the movement of the lever on the transmission feels very weird compared to before.

Hey sorry for late reply. A lot of things has happened since last post.

The job was done in a shop called AACTION TRANSMISSION in South Miami. They told me that they changed the torque converter, rebuild ed the transmission with a kit, electronics, shaft and cooler.

I took the car last week to check on the transmission since it felt very strange. They found out that the converter had broken and clogged the radiator and other internals. That was the reason it felt weird and rigid. They fixed it and now the transmission feels soft and doing the changes fantastic.

Now the engine problem CE light and TCS light still going on. Something I have felt is that when is cooler in the air the engine runs a lot better then when is a hot regular Miami day. Since changing the gas to another place it keeps running better and better every day. I have used 2 cans of Seafoam so far. But still I would love to know or find out why I cannot remove those check engine and tcs lights.

On a side note dont know if I should make a new thread but I am planning on replacing the current brake rotors and pads. I have read a lot here in the forums and I have come to the conclusion that I have 3 options.

A) Adamrotors.
B) USR7087 EBC rotors with redstuff pads.
C) XLR8 rotors and pads.

Which you guys recommend for great performance and durability?

Any input on these matters highly appreciated.

IF I need to make a new thread for the rotors let me know and I do that.

Thanks again.

With the CEL being on, are the codes still for misfiring ?

PS: For better input on braking components, either check previous related threads or post a new one.

NO.

Car is now back to normal. After changing fuel station and using Seafoam about 3 times the car is now in regular operation. The TCS light went off and then after a while I cleared the error codes. The CE light and TCS hasnt come back again.

Thanks all for their inputs.
