So I got my nav to play dvd's with the pioneer convertor. It's been working well for months now. All of a sudden, no red is showing when I'm watching movies. The navigation map and menus are still working fine (the colors are perfect). When I try to watch either the tv tuner or the dvd, only blue and green appear. Any ideas?

Somebody told me the DVD signal's too strong for our touch-up Nav screen. Is that why??

 

...sounds like your red cable lost its connection...

 

..so dumb..

 

Yeah, I think the fault lies somewhere between the Pioneer AVC-RGB1 and the switch. If it's not the external cables, I might have to take the convertor apart to see if anything got knocked loose inside.
