I installed my intake today and then decided to go outfor a spin. Something is very wrong with the install. If I floor it the car wont shift out of the current gear. Like a big flat spot after 5000rpm and thn the rpm drops down drasically and wont get out of that gear but I still have my foot on the gas pedal. What could I have done wrong?? THe only thing I can think of is not puttin the 2 little hoses on properly. I put the one in the front on the front little hole and the one in the back on the back little hole. Can someone put some insight on this sitution please. I followed the directions on this forum for installation.

 

maybe unhook your battery so your cpu can reset. and make sure there's nothing stuck in the tubing or the filters.

 

I tried checking all the hoses and they look ok and I disconnected the battery and put it back on. Still having the same problem.

 

Dude, make sure the pipes are clear! Maybe something got sucked in your intake or is blocking it? Are you using the by-pass valve?

 

No im not using the by-pass valve. Thanks for the help from the guys that replied. There was somekind of tubing stuck inside the filter that had to be taken out. Runs fine now and sounds great.........The CAI really makes a difference.
