price of transmission?

just out of curiousity, how much would it cost to get a new transmission if its not covered by warranty??

a new unit probably runs around 2-3k?

I think with install like 4K-5K i thought? That's probably a lot of dealer labor though.

It can easily go for $5K for tranny alone, without labor. That is how much Mitsu 3000GT automatic tranny costs, and it's a 4 speed.

the dealers COST is around 2k, what you'll pay is what they'll mark up on it. thats with installation and everything. at least thats what it said on my invoice...
