Price for fixing engine mounts and SERP belts

Wondering if this is a good price for fixing engine mounts ($330) and replacing the SERP belts ($140)? I live in LA.

Is this including parts? If it is, it's not too bad but if it's just labor then it's a ripoff.

Damn I think I might need my front mount fixed dunno about side. My engine jumps up like 2 inches when I do the Brake, Drive, Gas thing. That means I need it changed right?

final-
figure out whats broken and replace it!!
the mounts are DIY if you have a floor jack and hand tools

mickey- thats for the front mount only correct? the part is about 120-150 bucks depending on markup- (some years are vac boosted and all are hydraulic fluid filled)
its a good hour+ labor at any shop- dealer gets almost 3 hours for front mount.
diy is far less actual time~

If you leave the front broken long enough the passenger side fails too!

serpentine belt- do you mean the ac ps belt? ck the ac belt tensioner pulley- the one at top of system- they like to fail and while the belt is off- may as well relace it- is my opinion
Mine failed at 85kmiles,,after a shop had replaced just the belt a few months earlier and not noticed the ticking noise

I think that's a reasonable price as long a it's all OEM (Honda) parts and it includes the front and side mounts which are the ones that usually fail.

Yeah, it's just one of those things that when i went in for an oil change, the guy said said i should replace soon. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the tools, as I live in an apt complex where I couldn't do it anyways. But I hear ya. I think i can check the belts myself, see if they're cracking or still smooth.

Here's the actual quote:
Front engine mount = $55
Side engine mount = 120
Labor = 144
SERP belt (didn't specify) 2 x $25 = $50
Labor = 90

thats backwards on mount price-
front- which is front of car not front of engine-- is 120 for the very special fluid filled mount

chances are the belts are ready if your mounts are shot-
plenty of years and miles on them by now

Yeah, I got about 92K miles on it, so it might be about time. Thanks all.

well, side note - went to local mechanic, he wants to replace just the side mount, replace all belts, water pump, tensioner (i think too), and says all original acura parts for like $700 incl labor. sigh, plus i gotta get 2 new tires for front. bills, bills, bills...

yeah, i haven't changed anything on the acura, 'cept got a K&N air filter a few years back and tires, and just the regular oil changes. and also replaced the tranny from Alhambra dealer (which my old mechanic says was a re-manufactured tranny). guess it's time to shell out the money. i've had for 9 years now. another 9 to go? hahaha...

timing belt water pump is due at 7 years or 105 whichever first
but most of us are running past then without issue
FOR SURE replace the tbelt tensioner and idler pulley, may as well do the ac idler pulley while you are there for 85 bucks --then everything is new
A great deal on the parts here is 295$, so you are getting a good deal overall from your guy on the labor- it is a lot of work and 10 years old on all the bolts

Spark plugs and seafoam it too!!

by side- does your tech mean side of the engine,, or side of the car- since the engine sits sideways-- what we call the front mount is the front of car, cost 120 or so for the mount itself

the side (front of engine) mount is about 50 bucks

acura rebuilds the returned trans from warranty and puts them into other cars.
you cant get a brand new one- just rebuilt.. but with new case after 05'

i believe it's just the side mount b/c he commented that the front would cost more. Thanks, yup, i saw the $295 deal. Looks pretty good; might have to buy that and have the guy install. From the pics, the $295 deal is original acura/honda parts too...
