Power Steering Whine

A few days ago, I noticed that when I drive the car for about 45 minutes, I hear a whine when I'm stopped in traffic. I turn the wheel in either direction, I hear the power steering whine. I hit the gas, and the whine sort of gets louder as I accelerate, but then I can't hear it. If I turn the wheel, I still hear it loud and clear. But, if I turn the car off for a minute and turn it back on, no whine.

Is this a power steering pump issue? I know the 3G TL has an O-ring fix, but would that apply to my 03 TL-S as well?

Thanks!

sounds like the pump to me too. Is there a leak? How is the fluid level? May need to do a flush.

No leak and fluid level is good, and I'm pretty sure I did a flush two months ago. Was hoping it wasn't the pump itself!
