Power Mirrors

I read somewhere that the o1 TLs have power mirrors when we have our car in reverse (fold down) however the setting needs to be placed either on the L or R window not middle, is this true and which mirrors move?

The window selector needs to be placed in the middle for this feature to work.
Only the passenger side mirror tilts down.

Power Mirrors

Both outside mirrors tilt on the 2005 TL (and presumably on the 2004 & 2006) depending on the position of the mirror switch.

because most the times you will only park on the right side of the lane. so there really isnt a need for the right side much. unless your a real bad driver and such.

I believe only the 2002-2003 TLs have the passenger mirror tilt-down feature.

For a second I thought he was talking about the power folding mirrors for the Inspire. Now, that will be nice to have, specially downtown Big D.

It cannot be retrofitted on the 99-01 TL. The logic that tilts the mirror is stored in the ECU.

Why will it be stored in the ECU? if you can hook up the mirror motor to a reverse signal trigger, that will do the trick.
