POLL: Navi screen setting, Day, Night, or Auto?

Here is poll for you peeps with the Navi.

Do you keep it on Day, Night, or Auto?

Although Auto seems to be a logical answer I have noticed that when it is raining and you need your headlights (which is about every day now that it rains in Florida durring the Summer) if you have it set for Auto then it is too dim to see the Navi since you have to have the headlights on and its Daytime.

So what do you keep it set to? Or do you change it manually.

I'm considering leaving it on Day mode even at night but it is very bright and distracting at night.

well i have gotten into the habit of just swapping it from day to auto, but something i noticed is that even sometime when it is on day, and you cut your lights on, it dims. not as much as on night, but it dims, that kinda pisses me off, bc you gotta hit day again for it to brighten up. Has anyone else experienced this?

I keep mine on full day for daytime.
I adjust it for nightime driving as per darkness.
The reason I do this is because I use my headlights all the time.
Since ACURA did not put DRLs in the U.S. model TL I use the headlights 100% of the time. The auto function dims the Nav when the lights are on so thats why I don't use the auto setting.

Mine is always on auto, even if I have to turn on my headlights during the day. Why would you guys have to switch it if you guys are not using the navi all the time?

Auto for 95% of the time. Only during the day when I need my headlights (light rain) do I ever have to change it to day.

Auto, unless I am using the Navi during the day and have the headlights on. Then I switch it to day.

Even when its dim I can read the clock in the day.

I think they (rightfully) assume that most of their customers are smart enough to know when to turn the lights on. As for GM, well I hate their practice of burning the high beams as their DRL solution. Too many clueless Saturn drivers I guess.
