Question Polishing Glass?

All of my windows and windshield and back glass have severe acid rain damage which causes them to appear dirty even when they aren't does anyone have any remedy for removing this as it is highly annoying. The car came with this crap on it b/c the girl that had it before didn't wash/wax regularly. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Try water + white vinegar in a spray bottle (can buy one at the dollar store) and spray it/wipe it down...

You can also claybar the glass --- they are meant to remove acid rain (among other things) from the paint, so should work on the glass as well.

Glass Stripper from Wally-Mart @ about $5.00. Scrub it into the wet the glass with a net sponge (Body Only) and wash it off right away. I do this every year and works like a charm. Make sure you do this after cleaning the body as it is abrasive.

You can also use a paint polish and it will clean it up very nicely. I used NXT with an orbital buffer. Any kind of light polish will work though. If it is really nasty you can even use a heavier polish.

Speaking of polishing glass, I noticed when I bought mine, the rear drivers side window has a long scratch in the glass about 8" long. Can you polish scratches out of glass???
