i have a 99 tl.....when i put it into drive sometimes the car shakes or stutters then goes perfectly fine...no harsh shifting or anything ...its only right after i put the car into d4...plz help...what does this mean...tranny? *knock on wood

It does not neccesarily mean that the tranny is going bad. I forget what its called... but sometimes my 99 will do it too. I always come to a complete stop before shifting, and then wait about a second or two after I feel the tranny engage in D4 before I accelerate. If you notice slippage in between the gears then take it in, but the 4-spd is a strong tranny... I wouldn't worry.
