Plastic Gray Hook on Left Side of Trunk?

I've always noticed that there was a plastic gray hook on the left side of the truck. I'm not talking about the black buttom anchors for the cargo net. But I can't think what it is used for. Does anyone konw what it is used for or how they use it?

I am not sure of it's purpose either, but I have found it to be an excellent hanger for any jackets/coats I did not want to hang in the car.

Guys, it's a perfect little hook for my purse. It is so annoying when I want to put my purse in the trunk then go to get it and all the contents are everywhere. With the hook, it stays put and I love it. Must have been a lady on that designing team!:p

Well, when you have a drawstring purse, or flap there is no way to close it MR!!! If it had a zipper I wouldn't even be responding to this post

I just bought my car three weeks ago. During delivery I was told that the hook is used to hang drycleaning up or maybe a garment bag.

It's perfect to hold a couple grocery bags, then your stuff doesn't roll out all over the trunk

Its for those plastic grocery bags, so they don't fly loose while I'm speeding.

This is what the sales rep told me during the walkthrough of the car when I bought it. Works well too.
