Make sure you take the shift knob.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Cars are replaceable, people are not.

From the sound of your comment, totalling the car is a benefit? I'm not sure about that (for my situation).

DAMN, thank God you walked away from that accident.

At least we know the airbags and the safety cage did their job in protecting you.

Don't worry, cars are replaceable so be happy that you are in one piece.

New car? My car was new too - 19K miles driven in just a year. And my wife was injured pretty badly on the knee. And her fear will keep her from driving again any time soon, which means I need to drive her everywhere. All in all, if I had a choice, I'd opt for this not happen and drive a car I was perfectly happy with.

Man, it could have been a lot worse. I think TL is quite safe after all. Most honda cars have less knee room, especially for the driver. Sorry to hear that about your wife, too.

Anyhow, at least they total the car instead of fixing it. Which might give you another nightmare. Oh and how's the insurance coming along. Hope you get your money back...

Oh.. finally I don't know if this is do able or not, but I think the navi system can still work, right? maybe you take those out and sell it to non-navi owners... I would buy it.. Just a thought, might be illegal for you to do so...

Dude! I was in the same kind of accident 3 years ago. I was driving a 91 Civic DX (didn't have airbags back then). The other car making the left was a Maxima. I had the right of way b/c the light was green. My car was declared totalled too. Funny I remember opening the door to get out of the car, but my folks said they couldn't open it later when they went to get stuff out of the car. Just make sure you guys get some therapy even if you don't think you need it. I'm still hurting sometimes in my shoulder from that accident.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that dude When my mom got into an accident with my car, she was crossing the intersection, and a car came out of nowhere at 45mph and smacked the passenger side of the car, pushed her about 30-40 feet, to the other side of the street(thank her lucky stars there was no one coming the other way), she walked out without a scratch. Best part is the guy that hit US is suing US. Some people..
