Pissed!!!!!!!!

Sorry to Vent but here it goes....

I was visinting relatives today in NJ and i hear my 99 Tl Alarm go off....By the time I got out of the house my driver's side window was broken and my HID's gone....Totally screwed up the side panels on the car and the hood...

I wish these damn lights were a little bit cheaper...Hopefully my insurance will cover the whole thing but the hassel is incredible...

Take a capacitor, charge it up with a small battery and fasten it to the under side of hood right to the left of the latch release. The next asshole that tries to open your hood should be laying on the ground twitching, which should give you enough time to get to your car and donkey stomp the shit outta him.

I know this won't really work out like I described, but It is a nice thought Does anyone have any actual counter theft mods that will inflict damage on thieves?? I know that it isn't <cough> "Legal" to do such things...but for the sake of "discussion" I would like to hear what ya got.

sorry to hear that man, there plenty of methods that members here adapted too, just search the threads.

Thats why I want HID banned on non-HID stock cars, this way they would have no reason to steal them...i wish cops can enforce that.

Damn that sucks!! I was sort of wishing/hoping recently that the theft on our HIDs weren't happening as much. I work in West New York and all over Hudson County. (Union City, North Bergen, etc).... I've probably seen your TL around too!

Noam

I was visiting relatives last weekend in NJ and I was extremely nervous about my HID too. I backed into parking space in the lot and parked where more traffic/visibility....etc. Thank god!! nothing happened.

Sorry to hear about your lights. I think ever since the aftermarket HID are banned, it caused more problems for our HID equip cars. Same story with Maximas!

Where in NJ did this happen ? My HID's were jacked about 2 years ago and I am shocked that it is still going on.

The total damage is about $3500. So it is better to let the insurance take care of that.

I agree, especially if its only a couple hundred bucks to fix...not worth messing with insurance unless its a few G's. Cause it will cost you more in the end.
