Pics of the Quantum tint on SSM

Someone here, (I forget the name, and I forgot to bookmark the thread...boss was walking in) asked me to post up pics of the quantum tint on an SSM car, and here they are, I will take some more in the sun soon. I want to get the whole car to 35% but noone would do it then, and I don't want to have to scrape all of em to match colors now, unless it would look ok with one tint newer than the other.

Sorry, you have to follow it, I can't find a free direct link.

Yeah it was you. Nah, we can only get something like 50 or 40 up front legally here, I would pass inspection I am sure, but the law not states that anyone doing a tint that deep can be fined for putting it on. Anyone got a way to see tint laws for different states?

Are Quantum tints suppose to reject more of the sunlight vs. conventional tints?

Yeah they just look reflective from the outside. I have seen smoke and charcoal (the two standards) on silver, and they just don't look good, conversely, I don't think a Quantum would look quite at home on an NBP car for example. but I have not seen one so...

IMO 50% is like having nothing on the car at all. I had 35% on my 99 Silver TL, I ripped it all of yesterday, and had it re-tinted 20% today. Im going back next weekend to have my windshield tinted 50%. Ill take pics once I get that done.

Well, i thought the ebony interior would makes it dark and it did but however it not dark enough.
I didnt wanted too dark thats y i went with 50%. The first month i thought it was good and it is(on a cloudy day ) but no one had notice it or ask me "Did you tint that?" So i thought i just spend my money for nuthin.
thinking about ripping it off and put on 35% but that cost me more money!!
How do they "rip" it off? my main concern is the defroster in the back.

Any good tinting place can take tint off for a small fee. Removing tint is really easy, but time consuming. I did my car the other day, and it took me about 3 hours. Peel the tint, soak the window well with windex. Use clean razor blades. The back window just use steel wool. Soak the window really well, then clean the glass with the wool. It won't screw up the defroster, or scratch the glass.

I have the same tint, but have 20% all around and it looks good....kinda of reflective/mirrored effect during the day and looks black at night. People that see me at night with the car have asked if I had the tint re-done cause it looks different.

Hey, if you are looking for a website that posts tinting laws- go to www.ziebart.com or click this link it should have the chart http://www.ziebart.com/carCareMain.htm - hey by the way how much did it cost to tint your windows? DId they count the corner rear glass as 2 windows?

No, they tinted 5 windows, and the frints were a little less expensive, the 2 rear wuarters were counted as part of the rear windows. I paid about $150-200 when all was said and done, I will dig out the receipt if you want to know for sure, took about 45 mins. and I could not roll down the windows for 3 days or something and could not clean the inside of them for 10 days. The tints are the original 3M Quantums too. The place had some other but they were only about 20-30 less for the whole car, and I wanted the original article.
