PICS of Lowered TL's with comptech or H&R springs?
hi I'm new to the board, I just traded my 2002 Mustang G.T. for a 2002 TL-S (pics comming soon), I want to lower it with Comptech or H&R spings. Does any one have pics of their lowered cars?

Tatewaki-I had the same rims for a few months. I didn't like it so Motegi took them back and I ended up getting the Mille Miglie HT3's. Nice ride!! Do you have any rubbing issues? you have wider tires with the same offset as I do.

At first it was rubbing like crazy. It was 18x7 +42 originallay. And I thought 7" wide will get better offset than say 7.5". Then I rolled my fenders and shaved the wheel to +45. Now at the rear no rubbing at all. There is some slight rubbing at the front wheels if I go over big humps on hwy

Do The H&R sports ride pretty good? or is to Bumpy... I had Eibach Sport Lines on my Mustang and I hated them. Also do the H&R O.E. springs look any good?

I was also wondering what the difference in ride quality was between the HR OE sport and the HR sport. I'm planning on keeping the Type S wheels. Is the HR Sport a bumpy ride?
Also wondering, what is ithe ride like with 4 adults in the car and having springs? Would the comptechs handle the weight better (no bottoming out)?

With the "new" H&R sports available specifically for the TL, I wouldn't even consider the H&R OE; they leave the front too high.
The old sports were a bit thumpy when I test drove them (ie. you had to take bumps very carefully), the Comptechs are considerably more forgiving. I would think the new H&R sports would be comparable to Comptechs but slightly firmer.

Make sure you get the 50103 Sport spring kit, not 51858.
As for riding with 4 adults... I had two of my friends in the back this past weekend, and the wheels were tucked into the fender. It didn't rub, but it was LOW. I would strongly recommend AGAINST having any more than 2 people in the back.

how do your cars ride with the springs on it? i am considering getting some springs with about a 1" drop but don't want to affect the smooth ride that i currently have with it, any info would be appreciated, thanks

I've got the H&R OE Sport Springs. It has about a 1" drop all around. Ride quality, to me, is pretty much the same as the stock ride. I personally didn't notice any difference between the two (stock vs. H&R OE).
Keep in mind, ride "quality" is subjective; similar as to what one person may think is a "loud" exhaust while another wouldn't...

It has taken me some time to adjust to slowing down on inclines or decline to not ripup the front of my car after driving a truck for al ong time.
I think the ride is a little more stiff, but feels better in corners and accelerating.
