my bad, i guess i wasnt clear enough. i have an 03 tl, and just want the fogs to come on with the orange corners.. i already know what it looks like. the DIYs in the DIY section are the new way where you can just turn the fogs on without anything else..(the harder way lol) i want the other one that takes just a few minutes.. whenever i search for it, i always find the newer one with only the fogs..

you dont have to post the pics on this thread, if you just have the link to the DIY thats straight.. thanks

From the fog light mod thread:

This is for the 02/03 TL Models.

Here is the pinout/wiring color code for the fog light switch for the 02/03 models.

I had tested the states of these wires under the following conditions:
Blue w/ Red stripe = +12V when button is pushed and headlights are on
Whie w/ Red stripe = +12V when headlights are on
Red w/ Black stripe = +12V when parking lights are on

Provided by Pianoman41

1. White/Blue - Ground side of indicator light (green light that shows fogs are on)
2. Blue/Red - Power to passenger side footwell relay
3. White/Red - Power from headlight switch
4. Red/Black - Power from taillight relay
5. Red - Connection to dash light brightness controller

Now the fog light mod has the white/red and the red/black tied together. I assume that by hooking these two together, it fakes the switch into thinking that the headlights are on so that you can turn on the fogs.
I believe that the original fog light mod is done by just connecting the white/red wire with the red/black wire with a new piece of wire. But someone else please confirm this.

Anyways, the alternate fog light mod (the one in the DIY section) is very easy, it should only take 10-15 minutes to make the wiring and install it. Plus then you can choose to have the parking lights on or off. If you are going to do this alternate version and you don't want to mess with soldering, I suggest you go buy some liquid electrical tape. That way you can just twist wires together and "paint" a layer or two of liquid electrical tape over the connections to protect it better than regular electrical tape.

On the web, there's usually more sarcasm and criticism by those who dont know the answers who speak more freely behind anonminity and ambiguous avatars.

Real answers are hard to come by in life.

The other side of the coin pertains to individuals who dont really know how to ask questions in a clear manner to express exactly what they seek.
