Question Picking the right wheels!

Help guys! I was so set on the Volk AV3's but I don't want to wait 2 months for them. The C2's look nice but Snook already has them. I saw the DAZZMATIZ in 18's and I thought they looked pretty tight! Need your opinions. Have you ever heard of them and are they good quality?

Snook, can you get these too? And can you give me some feedback on these if you can since I want to be absolutely sure if I'm gonna dish out that much $$$!

Dude , Dazz Matis is one hell of a rim , I think it's a very very macho rim. I never seen one fit on a TL , but I did look at one in ImportTunnel on a gold skyline , and it looks very strong and tough.
I'd say GO FOR IT!

Anyone knows about the Xaver rims ? I saw one at wholesalewheels.com , it's the K2 series and looked 90 % like a Dazz Matis. With a lower price tag , anyone know if they are good rims ??

AC, DAZZ MATIS is HOT!!!. I am getting it on my TL sometime in next spring. I went to Action Tire in NJ, and the guys recommended 19" cause of the offset. According to him you get 18" it will rub and you will have to shave inside of the fender.... If you got like 4K to spend I say go for it... If not you may have to shave it.... GL

Sorry AC
I only had 19's - Ace Monaco 19x8 +43, Racing Hart C-5 19x7.5 +44
I had a few problems with the Ace Monaco's the rear would clear (I had to roll the fenders and cut off some plastic) but the front (Bent up the tabs, sort of like rolling) would rub on extreme hard cornering.
With the C-5's no rubbing, no problems!!!!!
GoodLuck and post some pics when your finished!!!

Tann, so do you think if I go 18X8 with 48 offset I should be okay even in hard cornering situations?

It depends on your tire size. People here don't seem to get it. If you have 225 or less it should be fine. I have +45 offset with 215 tires and I autocross and it's fine.

Well, I was told that the DAZ may come in only the 48 offset. 18X8, will this cause a rubbing problem or do I need to go with a higher offset?

Tann, you had both 18's and 19's. When you had your 18's what was the actual size and was rubbing a problem? Thanx! Any and all feedback will help.

Thanx Rice, but even on hard cornering and u-turning you get no rubbing? I'm planning to go with 225/40 so I should be fine, right?

AC,
It should be OK if you run 225/40/18 but and I do mean but if you run a 225 tire your rim will probably be even with your tire, meaning the rim will stick out just as much as the sidewall, just be careful and watch the curbs!!!!!!!.

You will have no problems with the rear, as long as you roll the fenders and cut some plastic off. The front shouldn't have any problems if you bend the tabs in the tire well.

on the other hand if you get 215/45s you will have the following benefits over 225

- better acceleration off the line
- closer to stock diameter
- less proness to rim bending
- u don't need to roll fenders/cut plastic pieces for no rubbing
- lower price
- better ride quality

225s won't make much of a difference anyway on handling. Just get P zeroes or s02 pole positions, it will more than make up for the difference.

Thanx Rice, but I'm getting the DAZZMATIZ package that will probably come with 225/40 Toyo Proxes. I understand that PZero kick ass but man, they're pretty expensive. Will I really have to cut fome fender stuff?
