I heard somebody here replaced their Fog lights bulb with PIAA 9000 series bulbs in the TL-S. I think it was a superwhite. There are 9004, 9005, 9006 and 9007. Which ones are for the foglights, and which ones look the best with TL-S?

9006 are the bulbs for the fogs and I believe I've read that the PIAA Platinums are the best match...

Yes, they are 9006's that go into the fog lights of the TLS's....
I have yet to see the platinums in there...but I opted to go with the Super Plasma Piaa 9006's....they look great...have gotten compliments on them

I've just changed my foglights to the super plasma PIAA's. They look great and I've got many compliments. I looked at both the super plasma and the xtreme white but in my opinion the super plasma is a better match because they produce a nicer blueish white similar to our HID's. The PIAA bulbs that will match our foglights are the 9006 series.
SatinsilverTLS has posted pictures before in this forum with his super plasma PIAAs. He is the one that got me into this to begin with. The following link is where you can find them. It usually takes 24-48h for delivery and they cost around $129 a pair. http://www.nextcollection.com/html/O...-1853-none.cfm

Careful - greenbirdman! There can be serious legal ramifications if you start deviating from DOT lighting regulations.
I just saw a case locally where a kid with custom tailights (whities) on his Civic got nailed by the other guy's alert attorney, who successfully argued that the kid's mods had been the proximate cause of his gettig rear ended when the person behind him was unable to determine he was signalling a left turn!
In our state, partial culpability has drastic effects on personal injury liability benefits.
Caveat emptor!

So maybe one of you that have done it can instruct us.
First look under neat the car under the fog light. You should see a square shaped opening and up in that opening is a mounting bolt....
Remove the 10mm mounting bolt, probably will need a good sized extension to reach it....
AFter you've removed the bolt, reach through the front of the bumper through the bottom grill area and to the closer end of the fog light you will feel a little plastic clip holding it in....just pinch it and it should pop right out....
Hope this helps....

I'm planning to buy PIAA 9006 Super Plasma for my fogs in TL-S. It's made in Japan and not sold in US. They run about $100/pair
I stopped by the AutoParts store yesterday and saw 9006 Super Blue Bulbs for $12.00.
I don't know anything about bulbs and lighting. What do you think the difference between those two be. I think the voltage is the same (55-110w).

Well with the PIAA's you're pretty much paying for the name...but their quality is good...as for the $12.00 pair...I don't know...it seems kind of shady. Last time my friend decided to get some budget bulbs for like 9.95 and they were blue...they blew out in like 3 weeks hehe...
There will be a difference in color between the plasmas and the blue ones too...but I don't know to what degree...the plasmas don't really appear too blue in color...they're more of a pure white color w/ a little goldish purple in it...the super blue's will probably just be blue
