Periodic oil light blinking
2000 TL no-nav, ~112.5K, regular oil change ~7500 miles
I wanted to get some input on an issue that has started to happen only since the last few weeks:
When I brake suddenly hard or make a sharp left turn (turn the steering wheel to the left all the way), then the oil light comes on and then starts blinking. If I stop the car and restart it, it goes away.
I suspect the oil sensor is having problems? Has anyone had similar experiences, and what was eventually found to be the problem?
Thanks.

Oil sensor??
The Maintenance Req light is Mileage based it isn't connected to any sensor..
Now the OIL PRESSURE light is a whole different story.. It can tell you a lot of things but the first thing you should do is check your oil level!
If your oil level is good then you must check oil pressure (Which in no way is an easy task).. only after replacing the Oil pressure sensor I would suspect the oil pump.

Then check the sensor itself! Its just behind the Oil Filter (Side-by-side of the VTEC Solenoid Switch).. I think there is a procedure to test it with a volt-e-meter but I cant recall how, Lets hope another member can chime in with the process.
If the sensor is bad (Which can happened) you just need to replace it! If it isn't then you need to check oil pressure and that involves a special tool.

One thing for my understanding: if suppose the oil level was indeed low, then would it still explain why the oil light only blinks on hard stop/left turn only? In all other cases (right turns, regular stop, highway driving, etc.), the light doesn't come on.

Oil had to be very very low to foul the sensor in a hard stop or hard turn.. And we can pretty much say that isn't your problem because oil had to be very low to make that happend..
What is left?
When you turn and come to a stop the car thend to idle low which in turn can cause a sudden pressure loss in any case this should happend within the specs of the sensor! so you don't see it blink every time you come to a stop. If your oil pump is misbehaving then your pressure loss is higher which means = Dirty Oil filter and in Extreme cases = Failing oil Pump.
But first we need to check that Oil Pressure sensor since its the cheapest route Unless you think your oil filter is indeed dirty but I highly doubt you don't change your filter with your oil?.. So sensor it is!

^ First thing to do is make sure the wire is connected to the sensor. Then if it is i would test the oil pressure sending unit and pressure

if that doesnt fix it,,add seafoam at 1/2 can to 5qts oil
drive 200 miles with trips of 30 minutes or more when possible- seafoam likes heat
then change oil and filter- with oil warm so crud in pan bottem drains out better
the filter doesnt catch it all,,or may get full and bypass itself- allowing oil to flow with crud
some of us do it every 7500,,or 15kmiles/once a year
along with gas tank treatment to keep intake clean
note: have the dual carbs off my bike, inside they were very clean,,no white crud buildup in bowls etc
intake runners and intake valve backs were spotless- due to use of seafoam
high compression- low clearence engines need frequent `decarbonizing`
carbon buildup is bad for combustion/mpg/smoothness
