Passenger seat will not move

The passenger seat on my 2000 TL started making a grinding noise and only moving forward on the left side yesterday. When I reached under the seat i did find a wire hanging down with a cable running through it. It looks like something just came disconnected but i don't know where it goes. Is there a way to pull the seat off so i can see the connections better?

it's not a wire it's a cable inside a protective sleeve and it runs the adjustment and is the reason teh seat isn't working replace the part and that will fix the seat.
