painting engine cover question
can i use duplicolor chrome paint on the engine cover? i was at autozone and the guy there told me that it wouldnt work because i need high temp paint. i searched and read some members on here say that any paint will work. i just dont wanna spray the engine cover and the paint melts and messes up the engine.
as far as the painting goes, should i just sand, prime, and paint?
heres a link to the chrome paint:

and clear.
i used just regular duplicolor paint and it is still holding up great.
wouldn't melt. shouldn't. and won't ruin your engine..
Sand down to smooth. primer... wet sand... primer.. base coat.. blah blah... and clear..

You DO NOT need high temp paint. If it got that hot in there the body panels that are painted would have melted paint, plastics would melt etc.... Any paint will work.
Oh and spray that paint on something else first to make sure you like it. I havent seen a instance where that paint looked good yet.
Oh and clean the cover up really well with dawn, scuff it up with a scuff pad, and primer it with a high build primer. It will turn out smoother and better looking
