you can paint it any color you want. you dont need heat paint either. just clean it really good get a scuff pad scuff it up a little primer it and paint it the color of your choice!

you only need either primer or sand paper, and high heat paint (better than regular paint..) i paid like 4$ for a can and i needed a few cuz i sprayed a lot of coats and painted my battery cover too.. it shouldn't cost you more than 20$ i guess.. and it looks great

look at this pic:

Here's a pic of my engine cover. I went with red because the wires from my intake were red.

Keep us posted on what you do. If you need help doing it, PM me and I'll help you out.

If it helps any here's a bunch of pix from when I did mine.

Honestly this is the one and only mod I'd not do again.

If you make one small booboo it looks like sh*t. Like in my case I only let it dry 8hrs and although it was dry to the touch, driving to work caused some spots to bubble up from heat. And yes this is with high temp paint.

I guess that's my forewarning, if you are going to paint it make sure to use primer, 2 or 3 coats minimal. Clear coat it when it has throughly dried.

And let it dry for a looonggg time. Take it off the car and leave it off.

I'll probably be ordering a new set of engine covers and leaving it stock in the near future. I've tried to dremel sand down areas and spot fix it but it still looks like crap if you are looking at the engine bay close enough.

Just my 2 cents.

Yah I know what you mean. For me it was real difficult to spray it sooo evenly...very tedious. I screwed up on one part, but it came out ok.

I actually had my bodyshop paint mine while my spoiler was there also... used the same paint as he would for the car, and matched it perfectly.
