Post paint chips everywhere

Hey. I just got done washing my car on my own this time. It's been a while since ive been taking it into carwashes all the time. Anyways when i was washing it, i noticed little dinks everywhere on my car. mostly on front/rear bumpers. im ASSUMING theyre from rocks and crap while driving. But what i also noticed were paint chipping underneath my headlights and some underneath my taillights too. WTH is that? CANT be from rocks and stuff. Anybody else experiencing this?

Yeah, I took my bumper off to work on my driving lights and noticed little pimples everywhere. It looked like an orange peel.

lol. Yea, it happens to mine too, it's really hard to see on a black car, but you can feel it.

Yup, it happens. It's less noticeable on my car cuz it's silver. I don't want to imagine how bad those lil scratches look on darker cars like black!

Angry Really BAD Paint Chipping

I've got small paint chips on all of the upper surfaces of the whole car (hood, roof, & trunk). The funny thing is that there are no chips on the top of the dealer installed rear spoiler, only on the factory paint. The car is just over a year old! Has anyone gone to the dealer on a problem like this? I don't know whats worse, paint chips or a complete repaint of the car.

I have them too. I'll have my car for an entire year at the end of April, and I have to say that it really doesn't bother me as much anymore. Sh1t happens. I use to use touch up paint on the spot every week. If you don't have the kit, you can get a nose mask. The clear bra will help too.

Try owning a Dark Green TL. I have emerald pearl and the small chips are unbelievably noticable. Its almost better when the car is dirty because then the chips blend in with the dirt.

Will be the last dark colored car I buy for sure.

It is paints on cars built in the US. Overseas, there are fewer regulations and less water in the paint.

Thus, less chips.
