paint chipping

went to the car wash today, and was sparying down my TL-S.
got to the front bumper and i guess i sprayed too close or somethin, but at the bottom of the front bumper, in the open space between the fog lights, my F*@#$n' paint came off in little chunks. has this happened to anyone else?

That is a sign that you got hit and didn't know it... I would have it checked out.

no, he wasnt hit. I had that happen to my 99 green tl....it was on the corner of the back bumper, the pain just...peeled off in chuncks...the point is-when you want to sell your car, u have all sorts of scratches on ur bumper and stuff from here and there...so they paint the bumper before the dealer sells the car...so it looks clean and presentable. It cost me $130 to repaint the little section of the bumper...take it to your dealer..but trust me-you werent hit.

my experience has been that while acura paint is nice. it's very very VERY thin, and chips extremely easy. you can almost take it off with your finger nail. *okay, not really* but i would hope that the 04 has a thicker paint application that the 02 tls that i have. i have so many chips its not even funny.

Never know, you might have been tapped too...

and the Acura paint is rather thin, I admit that... if it just starts peeling and you bought it from a repitable Acura dealership, they should repaint for free (if under warranty)
