Pads not making full contact (pics)

On the front setup has about 750 miles. Is this normal?

Looks like there is less contact towars the middle of the rotor.

Something is wrong-
you can see mine in the thread on painting calipers and the wear is all the way to the inside- for sure, past the end of the slots!!!!
Are those RB fronts? which pads are you running- you put the rotors on in proper direction?
You cleaned the slider clips and greased them properly?

Those are the fronts. They where actually installed by the dealership (i got lazy)

Rotors are Stoptech and pads are Hawk HPS. I mean both sides look like that.

so your pic is the driver front??- the outer edge has the slot facing forward- correct?
Is there any grease evident on the ends of the pads where the tab fits into the slider- so the pad moves in and out when brakes applied
Also should be some grease trace on edge of caliper fingers on outer part, so pads move slightly under use.
You paid the dealer to do it! TAKE IT BACK

How many sessions of bedding the pads have been done?
Did you use the HeelToe method- the one I helped write?
http://heeltoeauto.com/httech/YaBB.pl?num=1184261899

hey where did dnd go- outside checking the direction?
I helped install a set of RB this weekend and mentioned to the owner how some people are able to miss the diagram included, or the arrow --------> on the side of the hub to make sure you put them on in the correct direction/side of the car

RB and Stoptech are a visual match on the slot direction is why I referance them

acutally I forgot which side is which. I think 2nd pic is passenger side and last pic is driver side. When I did the brake bleeding I doubled checked and the rotors are installed right. He left the "l" and "r" sticker on

do the pads go most all the way to the inner edge of the rotor- or does it look like somehow they are smaller?
Thats bizzare- what bedding procedure was used?

no its NOT something with bed in- there is NO contact
The problem is pads not correct- like maybe they shipped wrong ones- but hopefully tech would notice they were not making proper edge to edge contact
OR
the calipers are weird
OR
its not put together right

But what would I know about brakes

I am starting from beginning, but, right after bedding mine in they looked the same. How many miles?

There definitely is contact, or there would be rust like more center. The rotor design could just be a bit deceiving. I would maybe compare the thickness of friction area with that of another tl, or even the thickness of that on your old rotors or thickness of pads. If it matches, all is good. if not, then go from there.

theres is nothing wrong. if you bedded them in that means your car stops fine. someone put up a picture of a stock rotor and tell me if the pads go right to the inside flange. they don't.

The pictures above look the same as my current setup. Rotora fronts with EBC greenstuff pads. That particular area never had contact, so I assumed it was supposed to be like that.

Contact area is also the same compared to my stock rotors. Just checked them as well. Could just be a larger available contact area on the new rotors compared to the OEM ones.
