P2R Plenum Spacer Kit Groupbuy: CL-P, TL-P

Here it is Acurazine, a new mod for the CL-P, TL-P brought to you by Excelerate Performance and P2R. Most mods are for the Type S but P2R has come out with an innovative product for the premium models. This spacer kit is guaranteed to add at least 3-6 hp. P2R will conduct before and after dynos once the product is produced to verify the actual number.

This Plenum Spacer Kit will fit the 00-03 TL-P and 01-03 CL-P. Here is what the kit includes:

2 - Plenum Spacers
1 - Intake Manifold Spacer
2 - Plenum Gaskets
1 - Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket

All Bolts are included. Kit comes all ready for install.

We need 10 ppl to make this Groupbuy happen. Once we reach 5 ppl P2R will start making the product. ETA for shipment is the 2nd week of Feb. List price is $399.99 but for this GB we will do $349 shipped to the cont US if we get 10 participants.

Also for further reference:

The Intake manifold spacer will be 1/4"; in combination with the thermal intake manifold gasket provided it will make the total thickness about 1/2".

The plenum spacers will be somewhere between 1/4" and 3/8". It will need to be milled down to make sure it seals and there is a flat surface. So although it will start thicker it will end up somewhere in between the measurements above.

Premium guys should hop on this.

I rather convert the top end of the TL-P and then get the Plenums.

It may be more but that is a base number. The Type S has plenums and their kit was twice the price of this.

You know what is really funny, I made those about 1.5 months ago for someone on here who just posted thier dyno with them last friday and posted pics on my other forum, this is the second design on mine copied by one of the manufactures you represent in the last month and yes that is way too damn expensive for what they are since I know what the material costs and machine time are for these........

What parts came with the Outlaw kit? What was the thickness of the plenum spacer? I doubt they were anywhere near as thick as the P2R products.

Wow, someone's a bit cynical. I don't follow your threads. I posted up in the other forum for informational purposes and I posted this GB b/c P2R asked me to. Besides this is a sale thread so please have some respect.

In terms of the Intake manifold spacer, i dont think there will be any real difference. The main thing here is that Outlaw Engineering does not make a Plenum spacer for these cars. I guess we can possibly offer a kit without the Intake Manifold Spacer for those of you who already have a Outlaw Engineering Spacer, as the main reason behind the Intake Manifold spacer is to make sure the Plenums clear the Valve covers.

It really doesnt matter what you dynoed because like I said before you may have shown a 10 HP increase from your first dyno and from your recent one in which you say all that was added was this, but you havent had any true R&D... How do you know that out of that 10whp increase that 5hp of it was because you dynoed in January when it was colder than the first time u went back in November i think?.

Also again your motor is highly modified with TL-S cams and head work so your gains again cant be comepared to what any potential stock CL-P/ TL-P owners might get using what P2R is selling ESPECIALLY when they are going to do the R&D as well as dynoing to tell the gain BEFORE THEN sell them.

I have already stated in another forum that this product is not in any way influenced by you. We have been speaking to customer for over a year about this product. I am very sure there are a lot of people on this forum that can back us up and tell you that we have spoken to them about this. Also you make a plenum spacer for the TL-S not the TL-P which is different.

We haven't said anything to you about copying our idea of increasing Plenum Volume.

Forgive my ignorance... I've heard "plenum" referred to as several parts.... Are your "plenum" spacers for the curved area on both sides of the intake manifold?

And in this kit you provide intake manifold spacers for here:

But the throttle body spacer is a separate piece? Any discount if combined ALL together?

so $350 is a Good price for 3-6 HP???

i understand business... but theres gotta be some kind of $$$ - performance increase line.
seems like this is pushing it... its an easy and safe mod though. so if 3-6 horses will win you that race you lost to your bud. shell it out?

jayunsplanet take a look at this diagram:

Part # 6&7 are where the plenum spacers go. It will go OE gasket/spacer/OE gasket.

Part #5 is where the IM spacer goes. It will go OE gasket/spacer/P2R thermal IMG.

The kit will include the plenum spacers, IM spacer, plenum gaskets, thermal IMG, 16 plenum bolts, and 9 IM bolts. You will reuse the stock IM gasket.

^If for some reasons it was not produced,i think you would be able do it yourself if you get a soft enough aluminum.
